February 21, 2017: MOECC has posted the amended regulation to exempt certain systems from ECA requirements. The new regulation is O.Reg. 14/17.  It amends the old O.Reg. 524/98.  Heating and standby generators have now been added to the exemptions.  These systems no longer need to be registered (O.Reg. 346/12 was revoked).   Keep in mind, that this only exempts these systems from requiring a S9 approval.  The emissions  still need to be considered in your site wide emissions!
